AlgoEd Limited and its affiliates (collectively, “AlgoEd” or “we” or “our”) are engaged in the business of providing personalized and accessible university admissions guidance and resources to students worldwide (“Students” or “you” or “your”). To enrich Student’s educational experience and assist in building their educational profiles, we allow educational institutions and academic event organizers to advertise and promote on our website platform (the “AlgoEd Platform”) educational-related competitions for Students to participate in (“Competitions”) and assist organizers in hosting, organizing and/or managing its Competitions.

This section contains the terms of use for Students who register for Competitions on the AlgoEd Platform. By accessing the AlgoEd Platform, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions contained herein.

The AlgoEd Platform contains information and materials from third party websites and/or published by third parties, and AlgoEd accepts no responsibility and/or liability for any inaccuracies, misrepresentations or omissions in connection with such information and materials at the AlgoEd Platform. AlgoEd will use reasonable efforts to secure accuracy of the information it provides you but it does not and cannot warrant or represent that the information or materials (including but not limited to the documents, advertisements, promotions and/or other related contents) made available by third parties at the AlgoEd Platform are accurate or suitable or reliable or that the AlgoEd Platform will be free of errors, viruses, bugs, problems or other limitations.

AlgoEd does not in any way warrant the accuracy or completeness of the information, materials, services or the reliability of any service, advice, opinion, statement or other information displayed or distributed by any such third party or through such third party site. You understand and acknowledge that availing of any services offered on the AlgoEd Platform or your reliance on any opinion, advice, statement, memorandum, or information available on the site shall be at your sole risk and discretion and subject to any terms and conditions applicable to such access and use.

AlgoEd and its employees, consultants, officers, directors and agents, hereby expressly disclaim any liability for any deficiency in the services of any third party. Neither AlgoEd nor its directors, officers, consultants and/or employees will be liable to or be responsible for any kind of any loss that you incur or suffer arising out of your use of the AlgoEd Platform or any deficiency in the services of any third party to whom the information or materials or website belong to or is controlled by, or the failure or disruption of the site of such third party, or resulting from the actor omission of any other party involved in making or maintaining this site or the data contained therein available to you, or from any other cause relating to your access to, inability to access, or use of the AlgoEd Platform or these materials.

Transactions over the Internet

Transactions conducted through the internet may be subject to interruption, blackout, delay or error. AlgoEd shall not be responsible for any loss of accuracy or delay of any messages sent or transactions conducted through the AlgoEd Platform arising from or in relation to any malfunction in communication facilities that are beyond the control of AlgoEd.

Payment and Refund Policy

AlgoEd will charge Students enrolment fees for registration and/or participation in the Competitions, which will then be paid to third party organizers of the Competition (subject to our right to set-off and deduct any promotion fees in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions for Competition Organizers). All financial transactions on this website are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment services provider. By choosing to purchase our products or services, you also agree to the terms and conditions of Stripe. We are not responsible for the processing of your payments and we do not have access to your credit card information. Please refer directly to Stripe’s terms of service and privacy policy for more information on how your payment information is processed and protected.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that the payment information you provide is handled securely and in accordance with applicable law. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Please note that all fees paid for Competition registrations via the AlgoEd Platform are non-refundable. When you register for a Competition, you agree and acknowledge that we do not offer refunds for any portion of yourpayment for any reason, including but not limited to non-participation, disqualification, or dissatisfaction.

In the rare event that a Competition must be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances or force majeure (including without limitation, any acts ofGod, strike, lockouts or other industrial disturbances, wars, insurrection, epidemics, landslides, earthquakes, storms, lightning, floods, civil disturbances, explosions, and any other similar events not within the control of AlgoEd),we reserve the right to retain registration/enrolment fees to cover costs already incurred. Depending on the situation, we may, at our sole discretion, offer partial refunds, credit towards a future Competition, or other compensatory arrangements.

Once you have completed your registration for a Competition, no changes are allowed. Please ensure that all information submitted is correct at the time of registration.

No person other than you will have any right under any applicable law (including without limitation under the theContracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance of Hong Kong)to enforce or enjoy the benefit of any of the provisions of these terms.

These terms will be governed in all aspects in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong SAR and be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Hong Kong SAR.

AlgoEd may change these Terms ofUse, at any time and without prior notice to you.It is recommended that you review the terms periodically for changes. AlgoEd shall not be held responsible for all or any actions that may subsequently result in any loss, damage and or liability on account of such change in the information on the AlgoEd Platform.
